Welcome to Enlightened Emotions! I'm Gabrielle Kaye, the voice behind this space where vulnerability meets strength.

As a mom to a wonderful 2-year-old boy who has completely stolen my heart, and partner to my husband of 9 years, family forms the foundation of my world. These relationships bring me immense joy, but they've also taught me valuable lessons about love, patience, and growth.

My journey hasn't always been smooth. I navigate life with borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD, and an anxiety disorder that stems from past trauma. These diagnoses are part of my story, but they don't define me. Instead, they've become catalysts for deeper understanding, both of myself and of the human experience.

I created Enlightened Emotions as a sanctuary for those walking similar paths. Here, I share my ongoing journey toward maintaining a healthy mind, body, and family life. I explore the complexities of nurturing meaningful relationships when past trauma creates obstacles, and offer insights from my own experiences of working through these challenges.

This blog isn't about having all the answers. It's about honest reflection, compassionate connection, and the belief that healing is possible, even when it feels distant. It's about finding light in difficult moments and building a life that honors both our struggles and our capacity for joy.
